Summer 2026 Competitive Program
TJ Jaguars Travel teams compete in regional tournaments across the tri-state area. Tryout-based rosters with advanced coaching, focused on player development and competitive play.
About the Travel Program
Travel baseball is a tryout-based, competitive program. Age is set by birthdays from May 1 through the following August 31, and players may register for only one age group per season.
Age Groups
- 7U — Spring only; players in Kindergarten or Rookies are ineligible
- 8U
- 9U
- 10U
- 11U
Evaluations
Scored by five current or former TJ travel coaches. Criteria vary by age (throwing & catching, fielding, hitting, running, behavior — plus pitching and baseball knowledge for 9U and up). Previous stats and coach feedback are weighed heavily, and coaches never evaluate their own player or team.
Selection & Commitment
The board reviews coaching interest (in-house coaches first). Once a coach is set, families are offered a roster spot and have 24–48 hours to accept or decline. Declining a spot means you can't play for another TJYBB travel team that season, and an “A” team offer can't be declined to request the “B” team.
Travel Program Requirements & Expectations
As families consider participation in our travel program, please note the following requirements:
- Players must participate in either the TJYBB Spring or Fall Recreational Season to be eligible for travel baseball.
- Players with competing baseball/basketball/hockey/soccer or any other sport commitments during the travel season may be selected at the discretion of the team's Head Coach.
- All selected Head Coaches must be fully committed to their TJYBB travel team and may not have competing baseball coaching commitments during the travel season.
